Not a sarcastic "YAY". I, for some reason, won't get off my butt and do something unless I absolutely need to generally, so my job telling me I'm fired as of the 12th is a godsend, first, I hate this place and I think it's run by idiots (Not just since they decided to fire me), plus, it motivates me to look for a job I can stand.
I finally got a chance to read through Watchmen. VERY awesome. And I got to watch Pet shop of Horrors which is also very awesome.
Also, I made pizza. (Vegan pizza, which is dough, with sauce, and red onion, green pepper, and mushroom... yum ^^). I finally figured out how to keep the sauce from turning the dough into mush all the way to the pan, which is to put a layer of oil on the top of the dough before the sauce. |

Alright, this time, I'm going to do it. Vegan. No more meat, eggs, milk... basically any animal product. I had it down for a while until I had to move back home and couldn't buy my own food. I'm also really determined to find another job... NOT customer service over the phone/chat. I don't mind helping people, but at my current job, they, for some reason, decided to have you attempt to help two people at the exact...same...time... which is not only impossible, but frustrating when you're looking up a complicated issue for one person, and the other person (who's chatting in just to get money back from stuff that they did) is all impatient. /rant off. Later, all both of you who may possibly read this =P |

I've figured out... that going 70 mph in a 65 zone will increase your speed by about 7.6%, but also increase your air resistance by around 22%. That means your car has to work 22% harder to keep moving at that same speed... On a totally unrelated note, I go the speed limit. =P |

I'm on a real terminal interface kick atm, writing this from the links2 web browser, which is completely text based. It's working out pretty well, I can get my main video player to work without having to log into X11 (I run GNU/Linux, if anyone cares ^^). Pretty much the only thing that doesn't work is websites that require the flash plugin, and some things like google maps. That, and anything that requires OpenGL. I can always just start up my GUI if need though.
I also have discovered Shoutcast, very awesome internet radio, I have been listening to this internet radio station that is 24 hour standup comedy. It is neat. |

I finally, finally ascended (won) a game of Nethack!!! I won with an Archeologist, which is arguably the 3rd hardest role to ascend with. I have been playing this game for years, and this is the first time I've beaten it (You only get one life in it, so if you die, game over). I love this horribly annoying game. Now to ascend another character, or one with conducts (purposefully gimping yourself). You can see my final score/stats here. |

I've started trying to find different constellations/planets/etc. through binoculars at night. I've been using the very awesome Stellarium program (Open Source ftw) to find out where to look for certain things, and then going out and trying to find stuff. So far, I've found Pleiades pretty easily, and over the past few nights, I've been trying to find Andromeda. I finally got to use a bigger/better pair of binoculars, and was able to see it where I had been looking for the past few nights. At least, I think I found it... from where I am (unfortunatly nearby to at least a few large light sources), I can mainly see what looks like a smudge. I did look at it over a few mins at least, and it didn't move in relation to the stars around it, so I can be pretty sure it's not a cloud. My next goal... to get a decent, cheap reflecting telescope to try to get a better glimpse at smaller stuff. First, I guess I would need to get a job... or get some sort of response from the bajillion or so applications I've put out. |

Well, I am now one of the legion of unemployed Americans. Gotta love this economy. Of course, the problem may be my pretty much useless degree in Game design and development, seeing as there are no entry level positions for programmers that would take an associate's degree -.-. I'm looking to move back to Charlotte, NC, and go back to a real school and get a real degree. I'm thinking of doing Mechanical Engineering and getting a Bachelors in that. Just reading back up on Algebra and Calculus, as after 4 years of tech support over the phone, I'm a bit rusty ^.^;. |

This is my second day in a row bicycle commuting to work ^^. Got a bike on Tuesday, already logged at least 25 miles on it by Sunday. I also beat my best speed going > 1 mile, used to be about 7.5mph, now it's 10.25mph over 2.5 miles. I am loving biking to work. |

I just got back from my first ride on a "real bike", the kind that doesn't come from wal-mart or meijer. I am really going to try to start biking to work, just need to work up to being able to bike 2.5 miles two times a day. I made it once, but was about dead by the end of the day. I figure if I can go at least 3.5-4 miles at a time, I can go the 5 miles over a whole day with little problem. |

Well, after reading hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy about 5 times since I started my new job (the big book, with all 6 stories), I finally ordered some new books. Plus, I am now officially out of SG:A to watch... now to try to get some SG:1 ^^ |
